The Future Project Releases July 27th, 2023

In one week, bring forth a new era.

Big news! I finally have a concrete release date for The Future Project...and it's closer than you'd think. In case the title didn't give it away, I am releasing The Future Project to the world on July 27th, 2023! That's one week from the day this blog post goes live! To celebrate the occasion (and make the date feel that much more official), I've put out a "launch" trailer showing brand new footage of the game on YouTube, this very website, and of course on Steam and the Epic Games Store. You can see the trailer easily by going to The Future Project's page here.

It's been a long road getting here, and I'm happy to finally share the full game with the world. Development on The Future Project started all the way back in October of 2018. That said, I didn't work on it "full time" (or rather, as full time as my life schedule would allow) until after Impressions had finished in 2020. So, about one and a half years of early development, followed by three of full development, making for a roughly four and a half year development altogether. That's the longest I've ever worked on a single game, and I'm hoping that time and effort is easily shown in the final product. I hope you're looking forward to it. I certainly am!

I'll be back again a week from now with a new dev blog announcing the release of the game as well as some plans for the immediate future following launch. Until then, I humbly ask that you visit The Future Project on either Steam or EGS and wishlist it. Though you may know the date now, wishlisting will grant you a notification of the exact moment the game releases. Also, in celebration of The Future Project's imminent release, I've permanently discounted War Ender to $1.99 (was originally $4.99). That game will have been out for a whole five years the day before The Future Project launches, so now felt like a reasonable time to lower the price. If you need something to do before the 27th, why not give my first game a try?

See you in a week!

-Lance T.
